so...this is it then

I thought I would take this opportunity to update my blog as I'm more than positive that over the next 11 days (Yes! just 11 left), I will have very little spare time. It feels a little surreal that only 8 months ago I was embarking on this new venture in my life. I was excited, scared, worried I'd manage, unsure I'd make it.......but hey, I'm here and I'm determined that I'm gonna be here again in October.

Along the way, personal stuff aside, I feel I have been extremely lucky in working with and alongside the fab girls in this group. We've laughed, cried, worried and stressed together but more importantly, we have supported each other and, built some strong friendships! I must hasten to add, that we have also had the brilliant minds of Brian, Lin and Christine to draw from, so a big thank you to them too.

Thanks to you 2nd years too, you've guided us through your blogs and chats along the way too, good luck to you all for your exams and your transition to Warwick.

Right, this is it then....no more facebook, eastenders or social life, (may squeeze another blog in if possible), good luck Clare, Katja, Naomi, Nic, Carrie, Emma and Kate. See you on the 1st!

  2. Good luck to you too Claire - it's been interesting looking in on first years, as we certainly didn't have that last year....but I guess that's the beauty of blogging!
All the best for the exams...they aren't as bad as you think (honestly) though prepare for writers cramp!!! Will prob bump into you when we results collect in July. Ofcourse, you will be able to continue to follow my 'adventures' virtually as I intend to keep on blogging...hopefully I won't moan as much next year (a-haaa - fat chance!!!) Take Care x

  4. Awwww this brought a tear to my eye, Claire. You know what? When I started at college I didn't even contemplate meeting such humanistic people as those on our course. I guess I had my own agenda and at the time didn't give much thought that the others on the course would be as nice as they are. You're right, we have been on a (excuse the cliche) journey together and here we are at the end of our first year, a little more scarred, battle-worn, and older, but most definitely wiser! You yourself has shown the likes of me how to draw courage and determination through the boundaries of adversity and for that I thank you. No-one could have foreseen what you have had to deal with since the start of the course and the fact that you're still committed is testament to your self-will. Long may it continue. Good luck with the exams - you deserve all the success which I'm sure will come your way.

  5. Hopefully next year will be a bit smoother for you, you have done a good job to keep going, I am sure your Mum and Dad would be exceptionally proud of you.
I agree, we have a nice bunch of 'gals', always supportive, always willing to share what they have learnt and others haven't and I think along the next 3 years we can learn lots more from each other. You have all truely become my friends and I hope we all stay as such for a very long time to come.
    x
